Here at Events By Day, our goal is to make the wildest dream for your event a reality. We have created and executed events ranging from Sports Galas, Restaurant Openings, Corporate Luncheons to Sweet 16’s and Private Celebrations. Our attention to detail combined with our ability to create experiences from a single idea is what makes us one of the most sought after event planning companies.

Since our start in 2004, we have produced many unique events outside of weddings including Galas, non-profit charity events, fashion shows, pageants, and high-end celebrity social events. Some special organizations we have worked with include the Negro League Baseball Foundation, the Miss America organization, the Mayor of Memphis, TN, and Bronners Brothers, CEO for Methodist Hospital Group. We have also had the special opportunity in planning and executing the Celebrity Kids Fashion Show that benefits HIV and AIDS in Atlanta, GA and the Grand Opening for Slutty Vegan.

Events By Day has had experience working on everything from corporate events, to more private social events. Our team has the ability to create events that activates your guest and drives the mission of your meeting forward through experiences. These immersive experiences create intricately designed experiences where every little detail hits a sensory point – smell, taste, sight.

About Me

Welcome to Events by Day! I’m the CEO & Founder, De’Neia  (pronounced Day-Knee-a) Whitted, and I’m grateful you’re here. I originally started this business back in 2004 as a way to express my creativity and passion for working with others to accomplish their goals. I never expected it would become as successful and rewarding as it has.

My education started with earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Public Relations. As a transfer student to CAU in 1992, I was a member of the Orientation Guide Corp, Student Government Association, President of the Public Relations Student Society of America, Miss PRSSA, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. While attending Clark Atlanta, I made a name for myself as a work study student for the department of Student Activities, Student Coordinator for the Miss Clark Atlanta coronation, and a member of the Pre Alumni Council.

Post-graduation I decided to start my events business and have since loved the value that comes in producing quality luxury events and seeing my clients dreams come to life. One thing I pride myself on is the ability to maintain a professional career, as well as being a dedicated basketball wife and mother. Based in Memphis, TN, I have two daughters ages 13 and 25 that are my whole world. I want to show them that it is possible to be a successful female entrepreneur and boss along with having a strong family unit. A great passion of mine is playing my role as a host for HBCU Talk Show. It allows me to shine a light on HCBU alumni that are thriving in the areas of business, art, and community, as well as connect people globally. My goal is to continue to spread light and love through my work in my business, passion projects, and influence on others around me.
